About Us

Main St Bistro is part of the family of brands owned by Reser’s Fine Foods, one of the country’s largest family-owned and -operated prepared-foods businesses. Built on four generations of commitment to quality and exceeding customer expectations, Reser’s is dedicated to supporting the communities they serve, and to making delicious quality foods that bring people together.

The Reser’s Main St Bistro brand started in 2003 with the simple idea that it’s unnecessary to sacrifice quality ingredients and taste for time and convenience. Our goal was to create ready-made, refrigerated side dishes that could elevate home meals with a made-from-scratch taste that’s ready in just minutes. We wanted to help make meals at home memorable and delicious, but easier for today’s busy lifestyles.

Our own in-house chefs were charged with creating recipes using simple ingredients with a creative and distinctive twist. Backgrounds in the restaurant industry led them to menu-inspired creations that easily complement main entrées, with the quality expected from a favorite restaurant. The first Main St Bistro recipe they created was our delicious Baked Scalloped Potatoes: a dish that has since been shared around the table in millions of households. We are proud to have been a part of the many memories created by families enjoying this popular side dish.

The Main St Bistro brand has since expanded into a wide variety of traditional and baked side dishes with restaurant-quality taste. From macaroni and cheese to mashed potatoes, we’ve continued to make our products without artificial colors, flavors, and margarine, and to focus on dishes meant to savor and share.

With facilities across the U.S., we’re able to distribute fresh, refrigerated foods quickly and efficiently to regional grocery and club store locations. Main St Bistro sides are typically sold near the meat department to help busy consumers easily round out their meals and enjoy the taste of dining out in the comfort of their own home.
